Artist’s Statement

A fine painting is not just oil, pigment, composition
and theory. It is a window into life’s greatest
mysteries - joy, melancholy, passion,
despair, tenderness and brutality.

When I thrill to something beautiful I want to capture it
on canvas to save it a little longer and
to share with others the intensity of the color,
the subtlety of the light and the humanity in the expression.
